Joseph Jack Lund, Sr., 86, of Poplarville, MS passed away Monday, March 16, 2015 in Poplarville.

Services will be held at 12 Noon, Thursday, March 19 with visitation two hours prior at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 9113 Kiln Delisle Road, Pass Christian, MS 39571.

Burial will be held at Biloxi National Cemetery where he will be laid to rest with his wife.

Mr. Lund was a native of New Orleans, lived for over 25 years in St. Bernard, LA and for over 15 years in Poplarville, MS.

He was a veteran of the U.S. army serving in the Korean War. Amongst many honors and awards, he was also a recipient of the Purple Heart.

Mr. Lund was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Mary Hemelt Lund; his wife of 56 years, Betty Campise Lund; two children, Patti Melanie and John Fucaloro; and his siblings, Thomas, Emmanuel, Anthony, Louis, John, Liberty and Stella. Survivors include his son Joseph Lund, Jr. (Lisa) and daughter, Frances Marie Merwin (Milton); sister-in-law, Eleanor Lund; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
