Johnny Ray Smith, age 80, of Picayune, Mississippi passed away Monday, February 16, 2015.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 18, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Picayune Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, February 19, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with Bro. James Reeves officiating. Burial will be at Lee’s Chapel #2 Cemetery under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home.

Mr. Smith was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, a Cab Driver, and a Member of the Baptist Faith.

He is survived by sons, Scotty Ray Smith of Kenner, Hiram “Speedy” Smith and his wife Annette of Picayune; daughters, Gayleen Mitchell and her husband James of Picayune, Kendra Spruill of Picayune, and Karmen Necaise and her husband Randy of Picayune; brothers, Bill Smith of Poplarville, and Mike Smith of McNeill; sister, Sue Lott of Carriere; nine grandchildren, Micah, Erica, Taylor, Denae, Colton, Chelsea, Logan, Jonathan, and Desirae; and three great-grandchildren, Brailey, Levi, and Easton.

He is preceded in death by his parents William and Birdie Smith; wife, Dorothy Smith; brothers, Jerry Smith, J.D. Smith, William Smith; sisters, Betty Jean Widner, Diane Varnado, and Alice Jane Smith; and granddaughter, Ciara Smith.
