Graveside Funeral Services for David H. Stockstill, age 77 of  Picayune, MS, who passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015, will be held Monday, February 23, 2015, at 1:30 p.m. at New Palestine Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday, February 23, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home.

Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

A native of New Orleans, LA, and lifelong resident of Picayune, MS, he was a Retired Educator, Musician and Historian. David volunteered as the Historian for the City of Picayune, and was instrumental in the grant funding of the Intermodal Tourist Center in Picayune, MS.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David H. Stockstill Sr and Doris Fleming Stockstill Carbonette; and his brother, Robert Dale Stockstill.

Survivors include his sister, Dianne Stockstill Alsobrooks, and his brother, Steven Ray Stockstill; his nephews, Scott Alsobrooks and wife Annabelle, and Stevie Stockstill; and his great nephews, Ayden Alsobrooks, Austin Stockstill, and Aaron Stockstill.
