Funeral Services for Ola Lee Baker, age 96, of Picayune, MS, who passed away Monday, December 29, 2014, will be held Saturday, January 3, 2015, at 11:00 am at Lee’s Chapel #2 Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 3, 2015 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at Lee’s Chapel #2 Baptist Church.
Burial will be in Lee’s Chapel #2 Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Bro. Jared Lee and Bro. Winfred Baker will officiate the service.
Ola was a lifetime resident of Leetown. She loved the Lord, raising her children to love and honor Him. She was a member of Lee’s Chapel #2 Baptist Church, a Sunday School Teacher, a WMA Teacher, and sang in the choir for many years. She and her husband David blessed many people with their beautiful singing. Ola was an artist who also enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and gardening. She was a beloved pillar of the community who enjoyed helping others.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 74 years, David William Baker; parents, Hugh Henry Lee and Stella Lee; daughter, Vivian McDonald; granddaughter, Christa Baker Alexander; 2 sisters, Evie Irene Lee and Helen Spiers; 2 brothers, Harbert Lee and Culley Lee.
Survivors include her 3 sons, Daniel Baker and wife Fay, Lanny Baker and wife Mary Jane, Winfred Baker and wife Patty; son-in-law, John McDonald; 6 grandchildren, Jonathan Baker, Shannon and James Levee, Jennifer and Mark Bourdon, Jeremy and Rachel Baker, Aaron and Laura Baker, and Jason and Sarah Baker; 19 great grandchildren; and brother, F.J. Lee.
