Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Rose of Sharon Church of God in Christ. Elder David Simmons will officiate at the services.

Mrs. Rhonda Bernell Young, 57, daughter of Robert M. Caver and the late Deloris Caver, was born in Picayune, Mississippi on April 26, 1957.

She accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, uniting with Galilee Missionary Baptist Church in Berkeley, California and was baptized as a public confession of faith in Christ by Reverend Robert Mack and later became a member of Bethel Baptist Church where she served as Treasurer of the Usher Board.

She graduated from Berkeley High School and San Jose State University.

Rhonda Bernell Young was employed in the banking industry as well as with the State of California. She met and later united in holy matrimony with Raymond Young in Fremont, California on March 23, 1981. This union was blessed with a son, Raymond Ahman Khari Young.

Rhonda departed this life on October 28, 2014 and was preceded in death by her mother, Deloris Caver.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory: a devoted father, Robert M. Caver; her only son, Raymond Ahman Khari Young; one brother, Eric Caver; two sisters, Shaleatha Caver and Andrea (Lamar) Binns; one granddaughter, Takiyah R. Young; three nephews, Lamar, Elijah, and Christian Binns; her paternal grandmother, Nettie Windham; four aunts, Margaret Diane (Elder Donald, Sr.) Berry, Jandis (Howard) Kidd, Mary Simmons, and Myra (Wilbert) Bridges, all of Picayune; two uncles, Horace Eugene McCann, of Birmingham, AL, Reginald McDowell; and a host of other relatives and friends, including her church family.
