Funeral Services for Michael Arlon Smith, age 68, of Picayune, MS, who passed away Friday, November 7, 2014, will be held Monday, November 10, 2014, at 11:00 am at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 9, 2014 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at McDonald Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Carriere Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Rev. R.T. Buckley will officiate the service.
A native of Picayune, MS, he was a Tug Boat Captain and a member of the Baptist Faith. Mike was a seventeen year member of the Masonic Lodge Carriere #445. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Monroe Smith and wife Helen, and Gladys L. Stockstill Coats and husband Russell Sr.
Survivors include his son, John Arlon Smith and wife Kim; daughter, Rhonda Kellar Martin and husband Charles; significant other, Dee Davis; eight grandchildren, Nicholas Martin, Andrea Martin, Trey Smith, Colby Smith, Blaise Smith, Krystin Davis, Brennan Largent, and Ross Whitfield; great grandchild, Skylar Smith; two brothers, John Albert “Jack” Smith, Russell Coats Jr.; sister, Barbara Coats; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family would like to thank all of the members of his Masonic Lodge Carriere #445 for their support of their father during his illness.
