Friends and family are invited to attend Funeral Services for Ronald Thompson, age 74 of Picayune, MS, who passed away Saturday, October 25, 2014, will be heldWednesday, October 29, 2014, at 3:00 pm at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 29, 2014 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at McDonald Funeral Home.
Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Rev. David Brown will officiate the service, assisted by Rev. Brad Repolge.
Ronald was a native of the Burgetown area. Ronald served in the Army National Guard Engineering Unit for 4 years. He was in the heavy construction business for over 40 years. Attending church at Roseland Park Baptist Church, hunting, fishing, gardening, and visiting with friends and family were some of his most enjoyable moments. Even though he has departed from us, his love and precious expression of life will live in our hearts and minds always.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley Thompson and Idell Lee Thompson; and his brother, Herbert Thompson.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Linda Sherrer Thompson; his children, Jeffrey Thompson, Stacy Averett and husband Charles, and John Charles Thompson and wife Mandy; his 6 grandchildren, Jenna, Dalton, Hunter, Gavin, Jonathan, and Mason; and his sister, Hilda Jean Thompson Stephens.
