PRC students to host haunted house fundraiser

The members of Pearl River Central High School’s Campus Security Council are hosting a haunted house to help raise money for their club’s activities and student incentives.
The students have constructed an elaborate haunted house in the rear parking lot of the high school campus, between the football stadium and the greenhouse. The haunted house will be open on Saturday Oct. 25, Tuesday Oct. 28 and Thursday Oct. 30 between the hours of 7:30 and 9:30 p.m.
“The kids have put this together and they’re really excited about it,” said Librarian and Cheer Coach Mandi Mitchell, “Almost every aspect of the haunted house that we’re using was their idea.”
The Campus Security Council is the largest club on PRC’s campus, comprising about 200 students each year. Part of their duties include “safety walks,” in which the members of the club patrol the campus looking for anything that is broken or hazardous so it can be reported to the school for further review.
All funds from the event will contribute to the club’s activities, and will also help the school pay for student incentives, such as rewards for good grades and perfect attendance.
Admission is $5 and tickets are available at the door. For more information about the haunted house call 601-799-1992.
