Funeral services were held Monday, October 20, 2014 at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Poplarville, for Marie Carmel Folse Crotwell, 91, of Poplarville, Miss., who passed away Friday, October 17, 2014 at her daughter’s residence in Slidell, La.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Rayborn “Ray” Crotwell; her parents, Marius Marc Folse and Laura Chauvin Folse; five brothers, Gerald, Ernest, Martin, Earl, and James Folse; three sisters, Gertrude Grabert, Judy Noto, and Theresa Philips; one grandson, Terry Ryan; one granddaughter, Christina Clark; one great-grandchild, Tiffany Clark; one son-in-law, Arnold J. Matherne, Jr.
She is survived by: three daughters, Carol Matherne of Slidell, Elaine Horne of Jackson, Miss., and Deborah Ryan of Poplarville; one step-son, Jimmy Crotwell of Laurel, Miss.; two brothers, Harold (Jean) Folse of Raceland and Leroy Folse of Thibodaux, La.; one sister, Dorothy “Dot” Bond of Carriere, Miss.; one sister-in-law, Elton Davis of Laurel; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers were Thomas Ryan, Christopher Horne, Kenneth Matherne, Chris Gadonneix, Eric Gadonneix, and David Gadonneix.
Visitation was held two hours prior to funeral services in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with interment following in St. Mary’s Cemetery Hwy 1, Raceland, under the direction of White’s Funeral Home,of Poplarville, 315 Highway 11 South, Poplarville, Ms. 39470 – 601-795-4982.
