Funeral service for Eleanor Marie Pevey will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, 6300 Highway 39 North, Meridian, Mississippi 39305, with Reverend Ritchie Ables and Reverend Bob Followell officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Pevey, 84, of DeKalb passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2014. She was a member of Anchor Church of God of Prophecy in Meridian. Mrs. Pevey was a devoted wife, mother and friend.
Survivors include her daughter, Betty Jo Bishop and husband, Paul; sons, Joseph Pevey, Jr. and Britt Pevey and wife, Lisa; grandchildren, Shonna Marie Viner and husband, Shane, Brandon Paul Bishop and wife, Jill, Corey Mitchell Bishop, Megan Sara Pevey and Leslie Jane Pevey; great-grandchildren, Reid Bishop Viner and Luke Russell Viner and sister, Ida Sanders.
She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-nine years, Joseph Franklin Pevey, Sr.; parents, Frank Sterrett and Annie Mae Stegall Sterrett; two brothers and four sisters.
The family request memorials be made to the Anchor Church of God of Prophecy, 2667 Old 31st Avenue, Meridian, MS 39307.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Bishop, Corey Bishop, Shane Viner, Hawk Seal, Randall Sims and Bryan Baysinger. Honorary pallbearers will be Reid Viner and Luke Viner.
