David was a wonderful and caring father and grandfather. He would always say who could believe all these wonderful lives came from two people falling in love. David served in the United States Armed Forces. David put himself through college in Los Angeles, CA to become an Electrical Engineer. After college he worked on the Apollo Program for NASA. He then worked for Martin Marietta on the Space Shuttle. He loved space and exploration. He spent his life working his dream to put a man on the moon, which he accomplished. He moved from Ozona to Decatur, AL in 2006 so he could be with all of his children. In 2014, he moved to Florida to be with his daughter. David Henley was a wonderful father and a special man to all of his family and friends. He was a kind loving man who had always given to his fellow man, even though they never knew he was the one who had given. His life was a life well lived and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. There will be a graveside service held at Hartselle City Cemetery, in Hartselle, AL, on November 8, 2014 at 3 pm. The service will be officiated by Pastor Daryl Little. In lieu of flowers please do a random act of kindness for Mr. Henley, as that is how he lived his life.
