Hilbert J. Cleveland “Bob” Morvant, a native and lifelong resident of Gretna, LA died Friday September 19, 2014
at the age of 82.

Beloved husband of the late Audrey Miller Morvant. Father of Kathleen Joy Morvant and Bobby Joseph Morvant. Son of the late Hilbert Elvin Morvant and Annie Rogers Morvant. Brother of Joyce Mancuso (Dominick), Carrollee Tompson (James), the late Lloyd Morvant (Beverly) and Carolyn Ann Morvant. Father in law of Edward J. Cooper and Cheryl Breaux Morvant. Grandfather of Angel K. Miller (Kevin Miller), Randy J. Morvant (Rachel), Bobby J. Morvant, Jr., Scott E. Cooper (Jennifer) and Erin E. Songy (Phillip). Great grandfather of Casey M. Miller, Cody J. Miller, Nathan P. Songy, Lauren R. Songy, Ryan S. Cooper, Emma C. Cooper, Jillian Morvant and Madelyn Morvant. Longtime companion of Helen Parks. Also survived by extended family: Terry Lopez (Laura), Wendy Martinez (Moises), Lori Juneau (David), David Lopez (Jodie) and Keith Knight (the late Shelley) and their families.

Bob was a former employee of Red Star Yeast Plant (Universal Foods Corporation) in Belle Chasse, LA until the plant closed and Meadowcrest Hospital until his retirement.

Relatives and friends of the family, also employees of Orion South, Inc., Reagan Power & Compression, Point Eight Power, Inc. and Louisiana Cat are invited to attend Mass of Christian Burial at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 11 AM. Interment, Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.

Parlors will be open Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014 from 6 PM until 10 PM and again on Thursday from 9 AM until 11 AM.
