Funeral Services for Robert J. Holcomb, age 63, of  Carriere, Miss., who passed away Thursday, July 31, 2014, will be held Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at 10 a.m. at West Union Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Monday, August 4, 2014 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home.

Burial will be in West Union Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Rev. Bud Putnam will officiate the service.

A native of Picayune, Miss., Bob was a Master Craftsman and a member of West Union Baptist Church. He was a devout Christian, a devoted father and son, a loving grandfather, and was known as a gentle giant. He enjoyed spending time with his family and being outside in the great outdoors, fly fishing, and communing with nature. He was a gifted poet and could make anyone feel special just by talking to them. Bob was an artist when it came to woodworking. He was gifted and created something of beauty out of a piece of wood.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert P. Holcomb and Billie Jo Lumpkin Holcomb.

Survivors include his three sons, Christopher Shawn Holcomb and wife Kim, Daniel Holcomb, and Brock Holcomb; three grandchildren, Bailey, Makaylah, and Trenton Holcomb.
