Funeral Services for Iva Loye Monroe, 92, of Carriere, Miss., who passed away Thursday, August 21, 2014, will be held Saturday, August 23, 2014, at 12:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Carriere.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 23, 2014 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Carriere.
Burial will be in Carriere Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Rev. Chad Stafford will officiate the service, assisted by Rev. Bud Putnam and Rev. Barry Lee.
A native of Whitesand, Miss., she was a Homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Carriere. Iva Loye was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend who will be truly missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer C. Ladner and Cordelia Amacker Ladner; her husband of 69 years, Paul N. Monroe; her sisters, Maurie Frierson and Betsy Smith; and her brother, Leonard Ladner.
Survivors include her children, Lana Palmer of Carriere, Miss., Paul C. Monroe and wife Carol of Gulfshores, Ala., Sharon Stafford and husband Charles of Daphne, AL, Bradley S. Monroe and wife Wendy of Panama City, Fla., and Amy Windham and husband Michael of Florence, Miss.; her 11 grandchildren; and her 10 great grandchildren.
