Irene Knue Mitchell, 80, of Poplarville, Miss., died Tuesday, August 12, 2014 in Forrest General Hospital, Hattiesburg.

Services are 10 a.m., Friday, August 15, 2014 at White Funeral Home, 315 Highway 11 South, Poplarville, with Rev. Mike Reid officiating. Burial will follow in New Bethel Church Cemetery. Mrs. Mitchell was a retired seamstress with Movie Star, Inc. and a member of New Bethel Baptist Church.

Family members include four children, Charlene Murray, Elaine (Don) Lee, Elizabeth Ann (Tony) Johnson, Jo Ann (Lynell) Lee; three sisters, Elenor, Mary Catherine, Mildred; five grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Dorothy Sphrey Knue; her husband, Charles F. Mitchell; one son, Douglas Farrell Mitchell; and two sisters.

Visitation is 6-9 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
