Roger Wayne “Smitty” Smith, 79, of Poplarville, Miss., died Saturday, July 19, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Smith was a retired United States Air Force Technical Sergeant.

Services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at White Funeral Home, 315 Highway 11, Poplarville with burial in Juniper Grove Cemetery.

Family members include his wife of 25 years, Carolyn R. Wood Smith; four children, Sheila (Ron) Wullenweber, Keith (Linda) Smith, Caney “Bo” (Gwen) Sones, Tommy Sones; six brothers, Samuel, Don, Argile, Clinton, Chet, Monroe; five sisters, Reba, Patsy, Diane, Melba, Vicky; twelve grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; a host of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and extended family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Argile Smith, Sr. and Cleo Breland Smith; and one sister, Mackey Wells.

Visitation will be 6-9 p.m., Monday at White Funeral Home, Poplarville.
