Students at Pearl River Central High School danced, swayed and strummed musical instruments at this week’s band camp.

Marilyn Schielder is the director of the color guard and Sadie Penton directs the dance team.

Schielder said this is the week when the students learn their routines for the upcoming football season’s halftime shows and competitions.

This Friday night the students will perform a sneak preview of routines learned this week.

The public is invited to attend the event and support the team, Principal Stacy Baudoin said.

Attendees can help with fundraising efforts by purchasing a plate from Cuevas Fish, Schielder said.

The preview will be held at the Pearl River Central High School field and starts at 6 p.m. on Friday.
