Mary L. “Godwin” Bishop, 78, of Poplarville, Miss., passed away Friday, May 30, 2014.
A loving Mother, Grandmama, and Great-Grandmama; was born August 1, 1935 in Awin, Ala., and a former resident of Lutcher, La. She was a homemaker, former optometry assistant and enjoyed growing flowers.
Mrs. Bishop was preceded in death by: her parents, Arthur and Dottie Luckie Godwin; and her husband, Arthur Clyde Bishop.
Family members include: two daughters, Cynthia (Jimmy) Fitch of Derby, Miss.; Teresa (Wayne) Petrey of Lutcher; one brother, Bill Godwin of Gallion, Ala.; two sisters, Juliette Wright of Pine Apple, Ala., Linne Earle Wright of Rutledge, Ala.; four granddaughters: Rebecca (Craig) Segura of Katy, Texas, Jennifer (Alex) Michaels of El Dorado, Ark., Amber Petrey of Lutcher, Sarah (Destin) Blough of Gonzales, La.; and two great-grandchildren, Michael Segura and Ella Blough.
