Father’s Day, opportunity to show appreciation

Sunday is Father’s Day, the day designated to honor and celebrate fathers and their contributions.
Fathers come in handy for more than just fixing things around the house. They are a source of expert knowledge on many topics and always have a lesson or two on how to get things done quickly.
While not all of them can provide advice on fashion trends, most can teach you how to change a flat tire or how to change the oil in an internal combustion engine.
Here are a few ideas on how to show dad that his efforts throughout the year are appreciated.
Many dads are the “handyman” around the house, so tools are almost always appreciated. However, keep in mind that if he is the handyman he probably already has quite a collection of wrenches, screwdrivers and pliers, so try to find a unique tool.
Every year new tools are invented that make do-it-yourself projects that much easier to complete, typically with fewer cuts and bruises.
If your dad is more into outside activities, such as hunting or fishing, try to find an item that would make his outdoor adventure a bit more enjoyable.
For the techie dad there are wireless mice and keyboards that could come in handy for laptops or tablets.
Of course professional dads may make use of a new tie, but try to avoid tacky ties. Keep it classy.
Sports enthusiasts may appreciate a new golf club or a jersey from their favorite team.
Of course there is the option that works for every dad, food. There are two options here. You can cook dad a gourmet meal or take him out to his favorite restaurant.
So, don’t forget to show dads everywhere that you appreciate all that they do.
