Claude E. Furr, Sr., 77, of Picayune, Miss., passed away Monday, June 09, 2014.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 10, 2014 from 6-9 p.m. at Picayune Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 10 a.m. at New Palestine Baptist Church with Bro. Josh Braddy officiating. Burial will follow at New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home.

Mr. Furr was a Veteran of the Mississippi Army National Guard, a lifetime resident of Pearl River County and a member of New Palestine Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by: his parents Ernest Furr and Mary Pearl Smith; and wife, Patricia Marlow Furr.

He is survived by: one son, Claude Furr, Jr. and his wife Hope Furr of Bay St. Louis, Miss.; brother, Wayne Furr of Picayune; sisters: Annette Fleming of Picayune, Margaret Smith of Picayune, and Faye Stockstill Picayune; and two grandchildren, Kolby Furr and Shelby Furr.
