Funeral Services for Shirley J. Howard , 74, of  Picayune, Miss., who passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2014, will be held Saturday, May 24, 2014, at 3 p.m. at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 24, 2014 from 1-3 p.m. at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church.

Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

The Rev. Robert Osbourn will officiate the service.

A native of Poplarville, Miss., she was a Seamstress at Movie Star Garment Factory and a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. Shirley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother, and sister who will be truly missed.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Porter Leroy Matthews and Ruby Walters Matthews; her brother, Kenneth “Cowboy” Matthews; and her sisters, Helen Rayburn and Patricia Hudson.

Survivors include: her husband, Walter G, Howard; her children: Darlene Owen, Carol Dufloth and husband Fred, Margie Buras and husband Russell, Randy Matthews and wife Angie, Joey Howard and wife Kathy, Kenny Howard and wife Rhonda, Mike Howard and wife Gina, and Tim Howard and wife Marlene; 20 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Jerry Matthews and wife JoAnn.
