Homegoing services for Regina Jones Hart, 56, of Picayune, Miss., will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 2 pm. at Pilgrim Bound Baptist Church.  The Rev. Harvey Graham will officiate at the service.  The Rev. Dr. Delbert Hall is pastor.

Regina Jones Hart was born on September 24, 1957 to the late Otha & Ruby Lee Jones in Picayune. She confessed Christ at an early age and was a proud member of Pilgrim Bound Baptist Church. She was an active member, serving faithfully in the Women’s Intermediate Auxiliary, Gospel Choir, and numerous other capacities until she became ill. She worked as a Teacher’s Aide for many years in the Picayune public school system and later as a social worker for Mississippi Action for Progress. She was a devoted mother and grandmother that loved children and enjoyed nurturing inquisitive minds. Other hobbies included reading, shopping, and cooking.

She ended her earthly walk to be with her master on Friday, May 16, 2014 at Tulane Hospital in New Orleans, La.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Ruby Lee and Otho Jones; as well as her brother John Jones.

She is survived by: her sons Min. Bryiant (Charity) Hart  and Min. Gonathun (Carmen) Hart; eight grandchildren: Alexandria, Lorenzo, Alonzo, Javyion, Devion, Jordan, Gonae’, and Brylei; two sisters, Janice (Rev. Harvey) Graham, and Sylvia Goff;  five brothers: Henry Allen, James (Laura) Jones, Otho (Margaret) Jones, Lee Jones, and Andre Jones; five godchildren: Jasmine Reed, DaQuana Pearson, Karensa Raine, JaBari McWilliams, and JaBria McWilliams; one cherished aunt, Pauline Javery; as well as her best friend and neighbor, Sharron McClintock. She also leaves a multitude of dear friends, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Interment will be the Picayune Cemetery.  Entrusted to Brown’s Funeral Home.  brownsfuneralhomedirector@yahoo.com
