Funeral Services for Ray Cuevas, 61, of Necaise Crossing Community, who passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2014, will be held Friday, May 30, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at Steep Hollow Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 29, 2014 from 6-10 p.m. at Steep Hollow Baptist Church.

Burial will be in Smith Family Cemetery, Poplarville, Miss., under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

The Rev. Harry Davis will officiate at the service.

A native of Necaise Crossing Community, he was an Electrician and a member of Steep Hollow Baptist Church. Ray was also a member of the Steep Hollow Masonic Lodge # 639.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver Cuevas and Ouida Mae Smith Cuevas; his brother, Monvel Cuevas; and his sisters: Bonnie Cuevas, Brenda Ladner, and Patsy Smith.

Survivors include: his wife of 39 years, Cindy Denius Cuevas; his children: Malissa Shaw and husband Chuck, and Wesley Cuevas; four grandchildren: Dalton, Tyla, Waylan, and Sophie; his brothers, Richard Cuevas and wife Carolyn, and Paul Cuevas and wife Brenda; and his sisters: Sarah Shaw, and Gay Ladner and husband Connie Ray; and numerous nieces and nephews.
