Funeral Services for Edith S. Taylor, 90, of Slidell, La.,, who passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014, will be held Saturday, May 10, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be on Saturday, May 10, 2014 from 10- 11 a.m. service time at Trinity United Methodist Church in Picayune, Miss.
Burial will be on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 3 p.m. in Hollywood Cemetery, McComb, Miss., under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
The Rev. Megan Becnel will officiate the service.
A native of Moorhead, Miss.,, she was an Accounting Secretary for the Federal Government at NASA and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Edith was a member of the Red Hat Society, a gifted poet, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her two husbands, Grant Wesley Jarvis and Walter E. Taylor; her parents, Henry Wesley Smith and Kate Lee Peets Smith; her son, James Wesley Jarvis; and her three brothers, Howard, Floyd, and Granville Smith.
Survivors include: her daughter, Mary Katherine Ellis; granddaughter, Katherine Melissa Sanders; grandson, Thomas Matthew Sanders and wife Jessica; great-grandson, Carson Grant Sanders; brother, Paul B. Smith; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
