As a young adult, Don was a member of the US National Guard and the United States Army.

As a lifelong resident of Pearl River County, Don served as the Justice of the Peace, a City of Picayune Police Offer, a Pearl River County Deputy Sheriff, and owned and operated multiple small businesses throughout the county.

He was preceded in death by: his wife, Charrie Ellissa Raby; his father Elton Peter Raby, Sr.; his mother, Celia Anderson Raby; and his brother, Ronald Anthony Raby.

He is survived by: brother, Elton Peter Raby, Jr. and sister-in-law, Joyce A. Raby of Hattiesburg, Miss.; sister-in-law, Carolyn Alsobrooks Raby of Nicholson, Miss.; brother-in-law, James Ellis Crawford and his wife Ann Crawford of Picayune, Miss.; daughters: Cynthia Delene Junkin and her husband Keith Scott Junkin of Jackson, Miss.; Donna Ellissa Raby of Biloxi, Miss.; sons: Don Tilden “Butch” Raby, Jr. and his wife Gay Cowart Raby of Poplarville, Miss.; Kevin Dwayne Raby and his wife Monique Rachelle Raby of Atlanta, Ga.; grandchildren: Adrienne Michelle Snider and Blake Alexander Snider of Moraga, Calif.; Christian Ellissa Raby and Rebekah Grace “Gracie” Raby of Poplarville; Whitney Korinne Raby and Kourtney Ellissa Raby of Atlanta; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins throughout southern Mississippi and Louisiana.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, May 25, 2014 at 2 p.m. in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2014 from 6- 9 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home.

Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery.

Pastor Breaux Tageant, of Juniper Grove Baptist Church in Poplarville will officiate the funeral services.
