Margaret Harrell Stewart, 92, of Picayune, Miss., passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2014.

Visitation will be held at New Palestine Baptist Church on Saturday, April 19, 2014 from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. Funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. with Bro. R.T. Buckley and Bro Josh Braddy officiating. Burial will be at New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home.

Mrs. Stewart was a lifetime resident of Pearl River County and a member of New Palestine Baptist Church. She was a church pianist for seventy years.

She is survived by: one son, James Nolen Stewart of Picayune; two daughters, Nancy  (Daniel) Stewart Burge of Missouri and Cheryl (Conrad) Stewart Skantz of Carriere, Miss.; two brothers, Charles (Frances) Harrell of Tyler, Texas and Kenneth (Eleanor) Harrell of Durham, N.C.; one sister, Dorothy Harrell Boegner of Picayune; nine grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Joseph W. Harrell and Juanita T. Harrell; husband, James U. Stewart; brothers, Robert “Jack” Harrell, James Harrell, and J.W. Harrell.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Associational Missions through New Palestine Baptist Church.
