Picayune nips PRC; will meet again Monday
Picayune handed arch-rival Pearl River central its first loss of the young baseball season Friday night.
But the Blue Devils won’t have to wait long for a chance at revenge.
The Maroon Tide pulled out a 5-3 win at the PRC Sports Complex. Both teams are now 3-1 on the year.
Mark Wood got the win, while Dylan Spiers took the loss. Peyton Lee paced Picayune at the plate with a pair of hits.
A full game story will appear in Tuesday’s print edition.
The teams were slated to face off again on Tuesday in Picayune. However, a chance of inclement weather has caused the game to be moved up a day to Monday.
