Funeral Services for Lawrence Jones, 86, of  Picayune, Miss., who passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014, will be held Saturday, March 22, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Union Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Friday, March 21, 2014 from 6- 9 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home, and also on Saturday, March 22, 2014 from 10-11 a.m. at Union Baptist Church.

Burial will be in Union Baptist Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Bro. Cecil Jones will officiate the service.

A native of Lamar County, Miss., but a resident of Pearl River County for 60 years, he was a Farm Equipment Mechanic and a member of Union Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by: his parents,  Monroe Jones and Becky Smith Jones; his wife, Luella B. Jones; his sisters: Mildred Nobles, Veiter Dyar, and Vinell Hibley; and his son in law, John B. Crawford.

Survivors include: his children: Billie Ruth Scully and husband Chris, Eddie Sue Crawford, Cecil R. Jones and wife Cheryl, Ronald Jones and wife Barbara, Mary Dickerson and husband Bennie; 19 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; his brothers, G.L. Jones and  J.M. Jones; and his sister, Emily Lou Powell.
