Memorial Services for Charles D. Hudson, 77, of Pearl River, La., who passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014, will be held Saturday, March 22, 2014, at 12 p.m. at Mill Creek Baptist Church, 11 Old Kiln Rd., Picayune, Miss.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 22, 2014 from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. at Mill Creek Baptist Church.
Burial will be in Mill Creek Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Pastor Arthur Lee will officiate the service.
A native of Benndale, Miss., he served in the Mississippi National Guard and the US Army Artillery, serving a tour in Germany. He retired from the New Orleans Police Department. He was one of the organizers of the Honey Island Shooting Range, and served as the Range Master for many years. Charles was a long time member of Mill Creek Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Oscar Julius Hudson and Marsbell Carter Yarbrough; his wife, Paula M. Hudson; his step-father, Charles Yarbrough, Jr; and his sister Marie Maxwell.
Survivors include: his son, Brian Hudson; two grandsons, Preston and Isaak Hudson; his sisters: May Casper and husband Phillip, Shirley Indelicato and husband George, Yvonne Chaisson and husband Buddy; and his brothers: Charles Yarbrough III and wife Anita, and J. Bruce Yarbrough and wife JoAnn.
