The Civic Woman’s Club of Picayune recently sponsored a creative writing contest for students at Pearl River Central Middle School. Under the direction of Mrs. Candace Pierce, teacher at PRC, there were many outstanding entries. The top three entries in each category were sent to state competition, and those awards will be announced at the Mississippi Federation of Woman’s Clubs convention in April. The following students received awards:
