Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 26, 2013 at 11 a.m. in Rosa of Sharon Church of God in Christ. The Elder Donald Hart will officiate at the service, assisted by Elder Harvey Bernard and Elder David Simmons is Pastor.
Terry Don “T.D.” Adams, 58, departed this life on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 in Baton Rouge, La. He was born on August 16, 1955 to the late Percy Adams Sr. and Martha Adams-Wilkerson in Bogalusa, La. He was the third child of ten children. He joined the Quinn Chapel A.M.E. church in Tangipahoa, La., at an early age under the leadership of the late Rev. T.H. Terry.
He was educated in the Tangipahoa Parish Public School System in Kentwood, La. He was known all over Tangipahoa Parish and surrounding area for his amazing ability to dance. Many thought that he should have pursued dancing professionally.
He was preceded in death by: his father Percy Adams Sr.; his stepfather, Bunion Wilkerson; and his grandparents, Murray and Annie Lee “Huff” Taylor; two sisters, Deborah Adams-McCoy and Annie Jean Adams-Cohn; one brother, Gillis Roy Robinson; and one sister-in-law, Beverly Lewis-Robinson.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving and devoted mother, Martha Wilkerson; his daughter, Martha Brumfield; three brothers, Woodrow (Rosita) Taylor Jr., Los Angeles, Calif., Stefonce Robinson, and William (Deidra) Robinson both of Picayune; three sisters, Ethel Taylor, Picayune, Dr. Vernessa Ducre, Poplarville, Miss., and Chantay Robinson of Norwood, La.; a nephew who was raised as his brother, Harry (Avis) Taylor, two grandsons, Daveon Greene and Enoch McDonald Jr., Picayune, Miss.; one grand-daughter, Melyssa Smith, Clinton, Wash.; one brother in-law, Willie Ray Cohn Picayune; four very dear friends: Jewel Powell, Picayune, Charles Ray McDonald of Picayune, and Wayne Dunn, Norwood La., Clarence Gray of Beaumont, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Interment will be in the Picayune Cemetery.
