On Monday, James Allen Myers, a former Carriere resident, was ordered held without bond in a case, involving explicit images of a Florida girl, in which he was indicted on seven counts related to child pornography.

Court records report the victim, described as under five-years-old, and the suspect had lived in the same home in Florida.

Myers entered a plea of not guilty in the case, which became official in October when charges were brought against him.

The case originated in October but was only made public on Monday, upon entry of his plea by his attorney John Weber.

Circuit Clerk of Court Vicki Hariel’s office reported that Myers had no prior convictions in Pearl River County court records.

Both the U.S. Attorney’s Media Specialist and the defendant’s attorney could not be reached for comment.
