Shots were fired at a residence in Picayune on Wednesday afternoon.

At approximately 1 p.m., the Picayune Police Department responded to the 1100 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard in reference to a drive-by shooting, said Deputy Chief Chad Dorn.

Two people were outside of the residence at the time of the shooting and advised officers that “unknown suspects pulled up in front of their house and fired several shots,” Dorn said.

The suspects were in a white SUV and sped off after firing the shots, said Dorn.

No injuries were sustained as a result of the shooting, but Dorn said a vehicle at the residence was damaged by gunshots.

“The home received some damage as well and had several gunshots,” Dorn said.

The Picayune Police Department is asking anyone with information regarding this crime to call the Investigations Division at 601-798-7411.
