The Pearl River County Ministerial Alliance, Inc., Scholarship Committee will hold its 2014 citywide revival fundraiser Monday, Nov. 18, 2013, at 7 p.m. hosted by Lighthouse Pentecostal International Church, Hwy 11 South, in Picayune. The Elder Harvey Benard, is Pastor, and Bishop/Dr. Anthony Pressley will be the guest speaker. Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at 7 p.m. the fundraiser will be hosted by Trinity Outreach Ministries, 502 Jarrell Street in Picayune. The Apostle Carl Flowers is pastor, and will be the speaker.
The primary goal of the fundraisers are to secure funds to award undergraduate scholarships to qualifying 2014 graduates of Picayune Memorial High School. II The PRCMA Scholarship Committee is committed to the educational advancement of the graduates at PMHS. “As long as they have the drive and desire, we’re going to do our part in assisting in the financial obstacles that our young people encounter,” says Elder Harvey Benard, Alliance’s President.
Through their 2013 community joint efforts, five scholarships will be awarded on November 18 2013, during the opening night of the revivals fundraiser at Lighthouse Pentecostal International Church, says Elder Benard.
Everyone is asked to come out each night and support the Alliance’s and the community effort toward the advancement of student education.
The Alliance is thankful for the help of our committed community who came out to the 2013 revivals and proved that they are concerned about our young peoples’ future and the future of Picayune.
During the 2013 revivals fundraisers, they were able to achieve and surpass their projected financial goal, says Pastor Edward Stubbs, Scholarship Committee, Co-Chairman/Treasurer.
2014 Scholarship applications and guidelines will be available each night of the revival. Time is of great importance, so the applications and essay must be returned as soon as possible but not after the last day of March 2014, says Minister David Lee Hughes, Secretary.
All requests for applications must be postdated on or before the last day in December 2013 for the 2014 Graduates. 2014 Scholarship recipients will be notified through a letter from the Scholarship Committee Secretary.
