May 22, 1940 – November 17, 2013

Although his earthly body has been laid to rest, his soul is in Heaven rejoicing with the Lord.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 3 p.m. at Pearl River Church of the Nazarene in Pearl River, La., for Charles Richie Savoie.

Mr. Savoie was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and a retired long haul truck driver. He loved spending time with his grandkids and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur “Bobby” Savoie and Myrtle Mitchell Savoie.

He is survived by: his beloved wife, Dorothy Diaz-Savoie of Carriere; beloved sons, Kevin (Judy) Savoie and Shaun (Courtney) Savoie; beloved daughter, Tina (Rodney) Herrington; beloved brothers, Glen (Phyllis) Savoie and Billy (Julia) Savoie; beloved sister, Donna (Aubrey) Brown; and beloved grandchildren: Zacharie Lang, Bayleigh Savoie, Shaun Savoie, Jr., Lorraine Savoie and Jacob Taylor; his beloved step-daughters, Lynette Shorba and Kimberly DuCarpe; and his beloved step-grandchildren: Nicole Narvaez, Loren Shorba, Dean Shorba, Dylan DuCarpe, Kassidy DuCarpe, Michael DuCarpe and Kadie Jo DuCarpe; and his beloved great-grandchildren, Destin McNutt and Sarai Eoode; and special friends Mr. Don Bishop and Mrs. Shirley Bishop.
