Grady Boyd Burge, Sr., 87, passed away Monday, October 28, 2013 at his residence.

Mr. Burge was a Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather. He also was a faithful member of Hickory Springs Baptist Church and a retired truck driver.

He was preceded in death by: his wife of 62 years, Joyce Burge; one son, Grady Boyd Burge, Jr.; one daughter, Virginia Carol Burge; parents, Edgar and Beulah Burge; three brothers, Bobby Terrell Burge, Cecil Burge, and Douglas Burge.

Survivors include: one daughter, Elizabeth Dianne Burge; one son, Ronald N. Burge; two daughters-in-law, Lynn Burge and Kathy Burge Shoemaker; four grandchildren: Emily (Phil) Pokorny, Randy Burge, Kayla (Zach) Odom, Maegen (Eric) Delaune; six great-grandchildren: Justin Williams, Sonny Burge, Kaitlyn Williams, Makaylyn Delaune, Brooklynn Odom, Tyler Odom; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Also survived by a special friend whom he shared many happy times, Mrs. Jean Saucier.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m., Friday, November 1, 2013 at Hickory Springs Baptist Church, 1082 Silver Run Road, Poplarville, MS 39470 with interment following in Smith Cemetery. The family will receive friends and have visitation from 1-3 pm, Friday at the church.
