A WTMJ-TV report  says Packers president Mark Murphy held a recent question-and-answer session on the team’s website. During the session he  revealed plans for helping to end a long rift between Favre and the team.

Murphy says Favre will be a first-ballot Hall of Famer. He says the team wants to retire his No. 4 prior to that induction.

Murphy says he knows many fans were upset that Favre played for the Vikings. But he says as time has passed, wounds have healed and fans have refocused on all the great things Favre did as a Packer.
