Vaudie Jarrell

Graveside Services for Vaudie Jarrell, 91, of Carriere, Miss., who passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2013, will be held Thursday, June 27, 2013 at 3 p.m. in Holliman Cemetery.

There will be no visitation.

Burial will be in Holliman Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Bro. Cody Ladner will officiate the service.

A native of Carriere, Miss., he was a Carpenter and a member of the Baptist Faith. Vaudie loved hunting, fishing, and being home with his family. His Christmas light displays were enjoyed by the entire community.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis Jarrell and Alice Jarrell; his wife of 64 years. Thelma Jarrell; his sons, Vaudie Lynn Jarrell and Leonard David Jarrell; his grandson, Jeremy Jarrell; and his brothers and sisters: Marvin O.V. Jarrell, Albert Jarrell, Monroe Jarrell, Birdie Smith, Pearl Amacker, Mary Orr, Lillie Baucum, and Boyce Jarrell.

Survivors include his children: Rita Jo Berry, Reggie Jarrell and wife Debbie; his daughters in law, Kay Jarrell and Sarah Jarrell Wagner; six grandchildren: Joshua David Jarrell, Jody Lynn Jarrell, Reggie Clayton Jarrell and wife Debra, Felisha Jarrell, Jessica Jarrell, and Stacie Berry Pierce; six great-grandchildren: Sarah Berry Pierce, Calvin Pierce, Dylan Jarrell, Landon Jarrell, Sophie Jarrell, and Sebastian Jarrell; and his sister, Josie Mae Brown.
