The Lord is My Shepherd…Psalms 23rd Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.
The Elder Harvey Bernard will officiate at the service, assisted by Pastor Donald L. Parker.
Victoria Jones was born May 14, 1937 to the late Sine Bell and Louis Jones in Tylertown, Miss. She attended school in Walthall County, Tylertown. Victoria later moved to Picayune at an early age where she meet the love of her life, Mr. T.C. Smith and to this union 11 children were born whom she truly love. Mrs. Victoria loved a lot of company, also she loved to cook and feed even those she did not know their name. You were always welcome in her home. She worked many years at T.L. James Construction Company and Picayune Public School.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Louis and Sine Bell Jones; three brothers, Hollis Jones, Sylvester, and Delosie Jones; one sister, Ollie Dean Tyson; one daughter, Darlene Smith; and one great-granddaughter, London Smith.
She leaves a legacy of wonderful memories to: her 10 children, L.J. (Susie) Smith, Charles Ray (Ramonda) Smith, Dennis Earl (Delinda) Smith, Mattie Smith, Lena (Nate) all of Picayune, Mae Dean (Obie) Adams of Springfield, La., Bobby (Nancy) Smith of Caldwell, Idaho, T.C. Smith of Portland, Ore., and Teresa (Wade) Stimage and Gloria (Leroy) Ward both of Marietta, Ga.; one God daughter, Anntrenett Everett; one sister, Annie Mae Jones of Portland; one brother, Willie Jones of Picayune; 50 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Picayune Cemetery.
