Funeral Services for Christine Glidewell, 83, of Picayune, Miss., who passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2013, will be held Saturday, May 18, 2013, at 10 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Visitation will be Friday, May 17, 2013 from 6-9 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home and also on Saturday, May 18, 2013 from 9 -10 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Burial will be in McNeill Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Bishop Jimmy Clark will officiate the service.

A native of McNeill, Miss., she was a Beautician and the owner of Handy Park Superette and Handy Cleaners. Christine was one of the founding members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Wilmer Joel Spiers and Christina Gill Spiers; her son, Frankie Joel Glidewell; her four brothers: Arnold, Talmege, Otis and Lyonell Spiers; and her two sisters, Rosa Whitfield and Carrie Trim.

Survivors include: her husband of 63 years, Jesse W. Glidewell; her two sons, Jerry Don Glidewell and wife Gloria, Chris Eddie Glidewell and wife Alice; her two daughters, Ann J. Glidewell Dardar and husband Gerald, Debbie C. Glidewell Stewart and husband Kirk; her twelve grandchildren: Jeremy, Joey, Christopher, Autumn, Austin, Hallie, Ian, Kristen, Michael, Victoria, Jacquelyn, and Millicent; her seven great-grandchildren and one on the way: Alexis, Christine, Corbin, Adelynn, Noah, Brady, and Kingsten; and numerous nieces and nephews.
