Jacob Landry from the show “Swamp People” will make a visit to a local seafood business on Wednesday.
The business, D&M Seafood, opened in Picayune about three months ago and receives their fresh crawfish from the reality television star, said business owner Keith Dugas.
Landry is expected to be at the business from 10 a.m. until, due to his busy schedule, Dugas said.
“He’s a busy guy, depending on what’s going on with him,” Dugas said.
While the visit is not an autograph signing, patrons of the business will get an opportunity to meet Landry as he mingles during his visit, Dugas said.
Crawfish sold at D&M Seafood are caught in Louisiana swamps by Landry, who makes deliveries about four times a week, Dugas said. Also after the visit on Wednesday, Dugas said he will begin stocking items that Landry makes from the alligators he captures, such as alligator skulls, along with T-shirts from the show.
Dugas said there will be a 25 percent discount on all boiled seafood Wednesday, including shrimp, crabs and crawfish. He said since Wednesdays are the slowest day of the week, he will hold Wacky Wednesdays where specials are offered.
