Rudis “Pumpkin” J. Bonner

Funeral services for Mrs. Rudis “Grace Kay” J. Bonner, 74, of Picayune, who passed away Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Highland Community Hospital, will be held Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Pilgrim Bound Baptist Church.

The Rev. Delbert Hall will officiate at the service. Visitation will be Saturday, March 16, 2013, 10-11 a.m. at the church.

She was born September 10, 1938 to the late Andy and Alice Keller of Kiln, MIss., and the late Agnes Collins-Porter of Picayune.

Rudis was a graduate of George Washington Carver High School, and a retired PBX Operator at North Shore Regional Medical Center. She was recognized for 20 years of service at North Shore Regional Medical Center, and was a member of Pilgrim Bound Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Andy and Alice Keller of Kiln, and Agens Collins-Porter of Picayune; her husband, Willie J. Bonner; daughters, Stephanie Jones and Lisa Lawson, both of Picayune; sister: Ida Rose Thomas of Hattiesburg; and brother David Keller of Pasadena, Calif.

She is survived by: son, Alane M. Lawson of New Orleans, La., daughters, Dr. Pamela G. Thomas of Picayune, Deanna S. Jones-Brown of Louisville, Ky., Agnes Z. Batiste of Picayune, and Titianna M. Bonner of Picayune; brother, Robert Keller of Austin, Texas; God son, Wynon Marshall of Lansing, Ill.; God sister, Evelyn Strawter of Louisville; 11 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.

Baylous Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
