Trinity Outreach Ministries, 502 Jarrell St. in Picayune, recently announced the formation of a Satellite Campus for Covenant Bible College & Seminary (SBCS) at the ministries Picayune facility.
“We wanted to provide an accessible, affordable alternative to attending seminary upstate or out-of-state,” The Rev. Carl Flowers, Pastor of Trinity, stated. “We are excited about the partnership with SBCS, the program is geared toward the training and support of the next generation of ministers.”
Covenant Bible College & Seminary’s Main Campus is in Tallahassee, Fla. Considered a ministry in itself, providing satellite campuses was established to help men and women who believe God has called them to serve to gain the knowledge needed to fulfill their destiny!
Students pay only $150 for undergraduate courses, $185 for Master’s and Doctoral courses, plus books. There are no lab or parking fees. The cost is well below the average price of attending a seminary college.
CBCS has degrees from undergraduate through a PhD. However Southwestern Christian University (SWCU) Graduate school is a partner of CBCS. Students can earn their graduate degree with CBCS or have the option to transfer to SWCU and then earn a doctorate through ORU (Oral Roberts University). Students also receive credit for previous ministry experience and for service to their local church. With SBCS students do not leave school under a mountain of college debt. They are free to pursue their ministry immediately.
Rev. Flowers stated this is the perfect opportunity for students in the Picayune and surrounding areas to be able to pursue their dreams of earning a degree in the ministerial field.
An orientation will be held at Trinity Outreach Ministries, January 6, 2013, at 6 p.m. Classes begin January 13, 2013.
