Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 3 p.m. at St. Matthews Missionary Baptist Church for Tara Michelle Spriggs, 31, of Picayune who passed away Sunday, October 7, 2012 in the University Medical Center in Jackson, Miss., surrounded by her loving family.
The Rev. Dr. Michael A. Kelly will officiate at the services. Interment will be in the Picayune Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time.
Tara was born to the late Maggie and John Earl Spriggs on July 2, 1981. She was a member of St. Matthews Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the Rev. Dr. Michael A. Kelly. She was an outstanding worker, a Crew Manager at Kentucky Fried Chicken, Popeye’s Famous Fried Chicken and was a Certified Nurses Assistance at the Covenant Health and Rehab of Picayune.
She was preceded in death by: her loving parents, Maggie and John Earl Spriggs; brother, Christopher Spriggs; and grandparents, Sherman Spriggs, Delma Spriggs and Willie Spriggs.
Tara leaves to embrace her memories: two sons, Eugene C. and Joseph Haynes; daughter, Siera L. Spriggs; three aunts: a loving and special aunt Clara D. Spriggs, and Needa G. Spriggs both of Picayune and Paulette Brumfield of Kokomo, Miss.; three uncles, James Earl Spriggs, Lucas Ratliff both of Picayune and Baliey Commodore of New Orleans, La.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
