Robert Earl was born on December 23, 1940, the second child of ten born to the late Willie Littles, Sr. and the late Mary Littles of Hazlehurst, Miss. He accepted Christ at an early age at Sardis Missionary Baptist Church in Hazlehurst and later joined St. Matthew Baptist Church after moving to Picayune. He graduated from Parrish High School in Hazlehurst, where he played football. Afterwards, he attended Utica Junior College in Utica, Miss. where football continued to be his passion. Robert became a concrete Cement Finish Contractor by trade but was a true fisherman by nature. He would fish at every free moment. Sickness curtailed both these in later years but he never lost the passion for either.

He was united in Holy Matrimony to Mary Frances Chism in 1962 and to this union seven (7) children were born. Robert was loved by many in family, in life, and in his work.

Robert was preceded in death by: his parents Willie and Mary Littles; three brothers, Willie Jr., James, and Richard Cecil; one sister, Cicely; one daughter, Pam Theresa; and one grandson.

On Saturday, October 20th while surrounded by family at his home, Robert quietly answered God’s call for eternal life.

He leaves to mourn in his passing: a loving wife of 50 years, Mary Frances; six children: Sharon (Alex) Gillum of Patterson, La., Robert Wayne (Lytonya) Littles, of Jacksonville, Fla., Janice Littles, Lumberton, N.C.; Carolyn (Tasha) Bolden, Derrick Littles, Cathy Littles of Picayune, and Temeka Abrams – adoptive daughter; three sisters: Bettie Minor of Natchez, Miss., Hannah (Joe) McCoy of Greenwood, Miss. and Marilyn (Norman) Williams of Memphis, Tenn.; two brothers: Albert (Luvenia) Littles of Hazlehurst and The Rev. Harold (Pamella) Littles of Picayune; one aunt, Mrs. Bessie Bradley of Hazlehurst; thirteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Geraldine Littles of Picayune; Joan Chism, Hazlehurst, Earnestine (Harold) Hatley, Carson, Calif., Mary L (Douglas) Dixon, Gardenia, Calif., Ora L. Glover, Denver, Colo.; brother-in-law, Luther (Alice) Chism, Slidell, La.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and special family friendship of Mrs. Martha Stubbs.
