Funeral Services for Horace Sherbet , 72, of Picayune, Miss., who passed away Friday, September 21, 2012, will be held Monday, September 24, 2012, at 10 a.m. at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 23, 2012 from 6-10 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home.
Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
The Rev. Glen Kennedy and Bro. Mike Frierson will officiate the service.
A Native of Montgomery, Ala., he was a Truck Driver and a member of the Baptist Faith. Horace was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be truly missed by all.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Morris Sherbet and Maggie Henderson Sherbet; his son, Coy Golden; his brothers, Lewis Sherbet, Calvin Sherbet, and Jim Sherbet; and his sister, Willa Faye Marsh.
Survivors include: his wife of 33 years, Martha G. Moody Sherbet of Picayune; his children: Tammy Tate of Mendenhall, Belinda (Allen) Murray of Picayune, Roy Golden of Picayune, Jeff Golden of Picayune, Tommy (Libby) Golden of Carriere, Kathrine Poupart of Laurel, and Charlene (Tony Truong) Golden of Picayune; 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; his brother, Alton (Helen) Sherbet of Pell City, Ala.; his sister, Rena’ (Eddy) Brazeel of Locust Fork, Ala.; and his brother, J.T. (Billie) Sherbet of Locust Fork, Ala.
