“A Celebration of Freedom: 4th Annual Patriotic Concert Tribute to September 11, 2001” at Picayune Memorial High Auditorium

The Pearl River County Community Band and Chorus will be performing this Sunday in the Picayune Memorial High School Auditorium, at 2:30 p.m., under the direction of Johnny Baker and choral director Linda Hancock.
The performance titled “A Celebration of Freedom: A Tribute to September 11, 2001 4th Annual Patriotic Concert” will commemorate September 11th and will honor police, fire and sheriff’s departments as well as retired and active service members.
The band has worked very hard on a program that expresses their sentiments for the victims of 9/11, servicemen and women who serve and have served our country, and all first responders. To be performed this year are: “Star Spangled Banner,” “This is My Country;” “Give Me Your Tired, Your Poor;” “America, the Spirit Lives On;” “4th of July;” “Red, White and Brass;” “Armed Forces;” “Nation’s Prayer;” “All Heavens Were a Bell” and “America the Beautiful.”
