Nine members of the Picayune Service Club joined other Juniorette clubs from around the state of Miss. for a weekend retreat held at the farm of Carolyn Huey in Decatur. Members were treated to weekend designed with the theme “One Wild Weekend.” It included fun activities like swimming, crafts and dancing, as well as educational and leadership centered activities. Miss. State President, Susan Byrd Poyner, spoke about her special projects which center around armed service members and veterans. Incoming State President, Darlene Adams spoke about membership recruitment. The girls also spent time with the Miss. State Juniorette President, Mandy Laiche, who arranged the weekend’s events to help the girls get to know each other and learn more about the club.
