Kendall “Romeo” John Ladner

Kendall “Romeo” John Ladner, 42, and a resident of the Standard Community, passed away on Friday, August 17, 2012, in Hattiesburg.

Kendall was a lifelong resident of the Standard Community and a member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in White Cypress. He was employed with Templet Transit/A and R Transport in Pearlington. Kendall was an avid hunter, and a loving husband, father, and friend to many.

He was preceded in death by: his sister, Amanda Ladner; his maternal grandfather, Horice Smith; his maternal great-grandmother, Alphonce Saucier; his paternal grandparents, Elmer and Annie Ladner; his father-in-law, Bennie Morgan; and his best friend, Amy Cuevas.

Kendall is survived by his wife, Kem Ladner of Standard; his daughters, Jorden Sprague-Ladner and Kendra Ladner, both of Standard; his parents, Elmer and Myra Ladner of Standard; his sisters, Melissa (Robbie) Emmons of Standard and Paula (Ronald) Hentges of Pass Christian; his mother-in-law, Sara Morgan of Picayune; his sisters-in-law, Pam (Mike) Smith of Laplace, La., and Tammy (Jarvis) Schwartz of Destrehan, La.; and numerous other loving family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2012, at 12 p.m. at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 9113 Kiln Delisle Road in Pass Christian.

Friends may visit beginning at 10 a.m. until the service time. Burial will follow the service and trucks will proceed to Standard Sandhill Cemetery.

The Reverend Jeffery Lee of Poplarville will be officiating.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Doctor Velesques and the staff at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg for their loving care and compassion shown to Kendall and his family.
