A woman has been charged with murder in a fatal shooting this past week in Tishomingo County.

Sheriff Glenn Whitlock tells the Daily Corinthian that 43-year-old Cristi Knight of Tishomingo is charged in the shooting death of 28-year-old Kevin Douglas Long Jr., of Blue Springs.

Whitlock says investigators believe Long was shot to death Thursday during an argument with Knight and two others at Knight’s trailer. The sheriff says 38-year-old Shad Reed and 20-year-old Stephanie Truelock were arrested on other charges.

Whitlock says Reed was arrested for attempting to leave the scene and not stopping for officers. He says Truelock is charged with child neglect for leaving her 1-year-old daughter alone at a home next door.

Whitlock say an investigation is continuing.
